This
year experience natural herbal gulaal which is Made in Tihar. These
edible-grade holi colours - 'gulaals' are available in six radiant
colours and accompanying herbal aromas. Colour red is available in
'fresh rose' aroma, orange in 'kesar-elaichi, pink in 'lily of
valley', green in 'lemon grass', sky blue in 'tulsi pudina', yellow
in 'haldi chandan'. This herbal gulaal is completely handmade and
consists of arrowroot powder and flower petals along with food grade
colour and natural fragrances making them skin friendly. This herbal
gulaal is bought by both corporates and individuals alike. Herbal
gulaal is known for its therapeutic properties and naturally made
gulaal is supposed to cut down the spread of skin infections during
this season.
This
herbal gulaal is Made in Tihar jail in Delhi by prisoners under the
aegis of Antarkranti. Antarkranti has been working with prisoners in
Tihar Jail for the last 15 years on reformation and post-release
rehabilitation programs. Antarkranti is a registered NGO sponsored by
Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS). As part of these programs, the
prisoners are trained to make goods herbal gulaal. After their
release, many of the prisoners are engaged in the sale and
manufacture of these goods
